The Forces of Change Impacting Freight Transportation and Logistics
The 2004 symposium focused on the forces of change impacting freight transportation and logistics, particularly the movement of goods by truck. Issues such as congestion, security, infrastructure condition, truck availability, cost, and hours-of-service regulations were discussed by representatives from the business community and the public sector. The symposium also addressed how these challenges are impacting other freight transportation modes and what implications they have for future technologies.
