Ketson dos Santos has expertise in probabilistic mechanics, machine learning, and structural dynamics. His work focuses on the development of numerical and computational tools for estimating the stochastic response of engineering systems, which is important for ensuring the reliability and safety of complex infrastructure systems. Moreover, he develops surrogate models for predicting the response of complex systems at multi-scale.
dos Santos is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo- Engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He received his PhD and MPhil degrees in civil engineering and engineering mechanics from Columbia University, as well as an MS in structural engineering from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and a BS from the Federal University of Alagoas (Brazil).
